Hillsboro Health is excited to announce the grand opening of a NEW community Hillsboro Health Outdoor Walking Trail on Hillsboro Health’s campus!

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 4 PM – 6 PM, all are invited to the Grand Opening Celebration of the NEW community Outdoor Walking Trail at Hillsboro Health. Come take a stroll or participate in a personal walking challenge. Children’s activities and light snacks will be available. The event will take place along the new trail, which is located behind Hillsboro Health (1200 E. Tremont St., Hillsboro, Illinois).

The Hillsboro Health Outdoor Walking Trail consists of two loops totaling approximately three quarters of a mile. Designed to promote health and wellness through a connection with nature, this public walking trail is open to all. 

Guests are invited to enjoy the two connected loops of this gravel walking trail. Walk a single loop on either the quarter mile loop (east loop) or half mile loop (west loop) or combine the two for a longer three-quarter mile walk. If you are looking to enhance your fitness routine or relax in the great outdoors, this trail is a great option for you.

The trail is free to access and open to the public from dawn to dusk. Individuals do not need to be a member of Fitness & Aquatics or a patient of Hillsboro Health to use this community walking trail.
