Our Outpatient Nursing Services Department, also known as our Ambulatory Unit, is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients who require medical care but do not require a hospital admission or a visit to the emergency room. We understand your schedule is busy, and our flexible outpatient appointment times allow you to manage your health and then carry on with your day.

Day Patient Care

At Hillsboro Health we offer a range of services including: dressing changes, infusions, transfusions, PICC line maintenance, and stress testing tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. 

We also conduct cardiac stress tests, including exercise stress tests, nuclear stress tests, pharmacologic stress tests and stress echocardiograms. You may need a stress test if:

• you experience unexplained chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness or health palpitations, or if your provider needs to evaluate existing heart conditions
• your provider needs to determine how existing treatments are working
• your provider needs to establish safe parameters for cardiac rehab after a heart attack or cardiac surgery
• your provider orders one as a pre-surgery screening tool
